By: Tim Heroux The Career and Technical Education department has chosen Jordan Arnold as the Senior Student of the Month for March. Jordan believes he received the award because he gives up his study halls to help students in lower Tech-Ed classes and he does wonderful in his classes. Throughout all four years that he has been at WHS, he has taken Video Production 1, 2, and 3 and is currently an editor on the yearbook where he does page design. Aside from these, he participates in a plethora of afterschool activities such as, Soccer, Indoor and Outdoor Track, LEO Club, Best Buddies, Interact Club, Link Crew, National Honor Society and World Language Honor Society, Superintendent Student Advisory Council, Board of Education Student Representative, and he is a Special Olympics Coach.
Jordan plans on attending UCONN, Storrs, where he will major in Mechanical Engineering. In his spare time he does photography, in which he photographs the highlights for our WHS sports as well as town sports for younger kids and even some businesses. Jordan started this because he, “Enjoyed capturing emotion and the memories that were made.” He is currently in the process of developing a design and layout for an app and a website where his photos can be accessed and find his business information.
